Polishing:
- Compound Polishing: Using a cutting compound and a rotary or dual-action polisher to remove deeper imperfections. This stage may involve multiple passes to achieve the desired level of correction.
- Intermediate Polishing: Apply a medium-cut polish to further refine the paint surface and remove any haze left from the compounding stage.
- Final Polishing: Using a fine polish to bring out the depth and clarity of the paint, achieving a mirror-like finish.
Refining:
- Inspection: Careful inspection of the paintwork under various lighting conditions to ensure all imperfections have been addressed and the surface is uniformly polished.
- Touch-ups: Addressing any remaining minor imperfections with spot corrections.
